Daily Ways to Celebrate Poetry Month

Try something new every day!

If celebrating National Poetry Month ever turns into simply writing a poem a day (or even just reading one) and it seems a little dull to you, there are so many other cool ways to celebrate. From writing to a poet to carrying a poem in your pocket, Brave Writer has a bunch of great ideas. Homeschool Life Mag suggests different ways to write poetry, like creating a blackout poem. You could even write to your favorite living poet!

That said, sometimes writing or reading a poem every day is enough! If you're enjoying the process there's no need to make it complicated, right? I've written a poem a day every April since I can remember and it's always been an enjoyable process, but some years are definitely more challenging than others.

What are you doing to celebrate poetry this month? Share your ideas and experiences in the chat.
